Tokyo is all set to welcome the world for the Olympics. Capital of Japan is betting big on technology for the biggest sports event. Intel, and Alibaba are the tech partners of the Tokyo Olympics. Alibaba Tokyo’s official olympic partner has launched Alibaba cloud pin.
Cloud pin is specifically designed for media professionals. Pin will have advanced capabilities. It can be worn as a badge. In order to allow media professionals a wider coverage cloud pin will be positioned at the International Broadcasting Centre (IBC) and Main Press Centre (MPC).
It will function as a multipurpose tag in order to enable users to meet people from varied backgrounds. Users can also add people to their friendlist on cloud tag. They can also exchange their life updates with people through a simple click.

Alibaba has also unveiled OBS Cloud for broadcasting and content management teams. OBS Cloud will have advanced security features and specific configurations. Cloud will perform maximum within a limited time frame. It will focus on visual and audio assets. Cloud will help in reducing the time required for setting up on site systems.
Through the cloud broadcasters can set up their management platform. After the olympic events broadcasters will get two choices either to retain the data on cloud or to move it on a personal device.
As cloud is taking the centre stage most organizations are focusing on upscaling their business capabilities through cloud. Cloud will reinvent the broadcasting system. This breakthrough technology will keep the data secure.
According to Cloud Tech Chris Tung, CMO of Alibaba Group, said: “ With this unprecedented Olympic Games, we want to use our technology to add new exciting elements to the Olympic pin tradition at the IBC and MPC while connecting media professionals and enabling them to maintain social interactions with safe distancing.”
