A lot of businesses are focusing on Low Power Wide Area Networks (LPWA) as they are cost efficient and require less maintenance. LPWA requires less power and can be used for providing internet to a large number of devices connected across a wide area.

 

Crown Castle USA’s biggest Communication provider company has collaborated with Everynet to provide LoRaWAN  IOT networks in the USA. Everynet will use the towers of Crown Castle to provide internet to 36 metropolitan cities of the US. 

 

The network rollout will also include places of prime importance like airports, seaports, and key logistics intersections. The full scale network delivery will take place by the year end 2021.

As reported by FIERCEWireless Paul Reddick, vice president of strategy, business and product development for Crown Castle, said“It was an easy decision to work with Everynet to build out their LoRaWAN IoT connectivity. We both see the long-term value of LoRaWAN in the U.S. and embrace shared infrastructure access for customers.”

 

The collaboration will provide both the companies a chance to scale up their business operations in the IoT industry. Everynet will use 40,000 rooftop towers of Crown Castle to provide wider and better network reach. Everynet has a successful portfolio in Ireland, Iceland and Spain. Now its target is the world’s biggest network and communication market in the USA. 

 

The 5G network will be provided through the LoRaWAN networks, the faster internet speeds can be leveraged by companies to conduct better operations. 

 

USA’s IoT market was valued at 308.97 billion in the year 2020. It is expected to grow at a rate of 25.4% in the near future. Loriot, MachineQ, The Things Network and Chirpstack are some companies that are LoRaWAN service providers.
