To support new and upcoming businesses, online business major Flipkart today reported the introduction of 'Flipkart Leap', the platform's first startup accelerator program. The program with its 16-week duration will open doors for startups to set up their innovative solutions and to prepare themselves for exposure in the market and also enabling them to obtain an equity-free grant of $25,000, as reported by the Economic Times.
As the call for admissions is initiated, Flipkart Leap will distinguish B2C and B2B startups and assist them with scaling through a rigorous 16-week virtual program.
All through the program, Flipkart's administration from Business, Operations, Product, and Technology will guide the chosen startups and offer best strategies, alongside expert class meetings facilitated by industry specialists.
As stated by Kalyan Krishnamurthy the CEO of Flipkart Group, with various developments and interruptions taking place in the field of technology on a daily basis, the organization wishes to be at the bleeding edge of driving adaptability and aiding these new companies in bringing an incentive to the industry as well as the just as Indian customers. He also added that the Flipkart Leap is focused on unleashing this potential and sustaining new thoughts that bring advancement and interest to the neighborhood pioneering ecosystem while enhancing the *Start-Up India' approach of the government.
Flipkart Leap has recognized five main themes on the basis of which to shortlist significant possible startups. Namely, these are, Design and Make for India, Innovation in Digital Commerce, Technologies to Empower the Retail Ecosystem, Supply Chain Management, and Logistics, and Enabling Relevant Deep Tech applications.
The firm stated in an announcement that these themes have been distinguished to take advantage of the most creative solutions in the Technology and Consumer Internet space, particularly developed for Indian purchasers.
