IIT-Roorkee to Offer Online Courses for AI, ML, & Data Science

The Indian Institute of Technology-Roorkee is about to launch the extremely high courses in demand that also include an online advanced certification course in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and certification course in Data Science. 

 

For the successful commencement of the course, the institute has joined hands with Coursera to proffer online programs. According to IIT-Roorkee's statement,” the course is for a global audience”.   

 

The advanced certification course in AI and ML will be a duration of six months, it will incorporate a combination of expert lectures, hands-on lab experiences, team projects, and workshops. It will also include online classes about coding, statistics, and mathematics that are required for developing expertise in AI and ML.

The main objective, through this course, will be developing programming skills in Python and SQL compatible, various algorithms practiced in data analytics, and developing understanding addressing the picked machine learning algorithms like linear models, KNN, SVM, Decision Trees, Random forest, and neural networks and much more. 

 

Prof. Ajit K Chaturvedi, Direction of IIT-Roorkee, stated,” We are fascinated to associate with Coursera to achieve the objectives of inclusive education recommend by “New Education Policy”. This collaboration supports reaching the global audience of students and experts for quality education. The courses will be available at Coursera in early 2021.

 

Recently, the Ministry of Education has urged all top 100 institutes to mark their presence online in order to conduct online classes. Also, special guidelines were provided to these institutes.
