Microsoft releases a preview version for Office LTSC and Office 2021

Behind every winning team there is Microsoft Teams is the tagline that is catching the attention of both employees and the employers.

 

Since the time new normal rolled over and drastically altered the way people were living before,Microsoft teams provided an aid for safe and secure office meetings.

 

MS teams are built on Microsoft office 365 groups.Microsoft office is a broad unit that comprises server softwares and services that are developed by Microsoft.

 

MS Word,MS Office,MS Powerpoint and MS Excel are the prominent softwares that come as a package with MS Office.

 

It is crucial for business enterprises to stay updated in the modern times.Microsoft believes in continuous software updations  as a means to hold onto its strong market position.

 

Recently Microsoft released  the commercial preview of Microsoft Office Long Term Servicing Channel (LTSC)for Windows and Mac 2021.

Office LTSC

 

Office LTSC is a special version of Microsoft Office for Windows 10.It stands for Long Term Service Channel.

 

The main difference between LTSC and other versions is unlike the regular versions Microsoft Office which gets regular updates every six months the LTSC  receives updates after 2-3 years.

 

The main usage of the LTSC version of office is in cases where compatibility and  long term stability is more important than getting regular updates.LTSC version is viable for commercial purposes.

This version doesn’t support any new hardware or software.The users also have an option of opting out from the Windows updates for the entire support cycle(i.e.10 years).

 

According to DT NEXT,MS Office 2021 for Mac will support both Apple silicon and Intel-based Macs and requires a minimum of 10GB RAM and 4GB storage space; it is going to be a static release of Microsoft Office.

 

MS Office 2021 will have LINE FOCUS  this feature will remove distractions to allow MS Word users to move seamlessly through a document line by line.

 

XLOOKUP will be an advanced feature for MS Excel that will allow users to locate data in a table or range by row.A new feature in MS Powerpoint will enable users to record slideshow with narration.

 

Office LTSC will include features from the past compiled with a subset of new features .Office LTSC will be supported for five years .It will be deployed using a click to run exclusive like Office 2019.
