Musk announces the arrival of Tesla Bot title banner

Tesla.Inc an American electric vehicle and clean energy company was founded on 1st July, 2003. The company's recent products include electric vehicles,  battery energy storage, solar panels and other products and services.

Tesla, Inc., Chief Executive Elon Musk declared on Thursday that a "Tesla Bot" is going to be launched in the next year (2022). He announces the arrival of a humanoid robot prototype of about five feet eight inches during Tesla's Inaugural AI Day.

The prototype will be designed in such a manner that it would accomplish any kind of monotonous tasks or repetitive jobs.

Tesla is not the only one to manufacture a humanoid robot. Honda has even created a humanoid robot named ASIMO in the year 2000. The Toyota Partner Robots are also a chain of humanoid robots that were created by Toyota.

According to TechCrunch, "The bot is being proposed as a non-automotive robotic use case for the company’s work on neural network models and its Dojo advanced supercomputer."

Elon Musk stated that if their "semi-sentient robots on wheels" i.e. cars are taken into consideration, "Tesla is arguably the world’s biggest robotics company." The "Full-Self Driving computer" has evolved with the passage of time and the Tesla's Dojo Project and all that makes the world acknowledge through the mode understanding and in the end, "it makes sense to put that on to a humanoid form."

As mentioned before, a human-like appearance would perform the jobs people hate to do, which hints at the "profound implications for the economy." The "Tesla Bot" would weigh 125 pounds i.e. 56.7 kg approximately and a gait of 5 miles per hour.

Musk stated, "In the long term I do think there needs to be universal basic income" and added, "But not right now because the robot doesn’t work." He concluded with an invitation to engineers. Just as a few years ago, Musk asked the engineers "to design a supernatural training computer",[Ganesh Venkataramanan] similarly he asked the engineers to join their team and help them build this.
