Reliance AGM 2020 Highlights: Key Announcements by RIL

At the Reliance’s Annual General Meet 2020, the company revealed that Google will lend Rs. 33, 737 cr at 7.7% stake in Jio Platforms. Also, Jio has admitted that the company is expanding on other platforms as Jio TV Plus, Jio Glass, and more, during this meet, the company also announced the details regarding JioMart and Jio 5G solution.

 

According to RIL AGM updates; Ambani told, “ Jio has designed an entire 5G solution from scratch, it allows an individual to originate an outstanding 5G services in India.” Additionally, the telecom controllers assured 100% home-developed 5G network. For this, trails are ready to initiate promptly and soon to available for the field implementation by the following year.

 

The first virtual 43rd Annual General Meeting is hosted via video conferencing and additional audio-visual modes, during which Ambani also proclaimed that Jio and Google are planning to make an Android-based smart mobile operating system.  

 

Key announcements/ highlights that Ambani admitted during the AGM 2020 are following;

 

1. Google-Jio is planning to bring affordable smartphones.

2. Jio announced “Jio Glass”, Jio TV Plus, 

3. JioMeet has downloaded by 5 million users, it is India’s first only cloud-based video conferencing app.

4. Ambani announced everything about the Google-Jio deal which is worth Rs. 33, 737 cr at 7.7% stake that Google will invest in Jio Platforms.

5. Jio announced a complete home-developed 5G solution form scratch.

6. The company announced the Jio-Google partnership for making operating systems to make India 2G-mukt.

7. JioMart will be operating firmly with Whatsapp.

8. Ambani talked about company new partners like Facebook, Qualcomm, TPG, Intel, Silverlake, KKR, and others at the AGM 2020 meeting.
