This highlights that the fruits of such a great launch i.e. the new Lenovo phone powered by the Snapdragon 898 chip will be experienced in December this year. This in turn makes it very clear that there is still a chance for the Legion Gaming Phone 3 Pro.

Same company has also launched several Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series products. For instance, the Lenovo Z5 Pro GT introduces Snapdragon 855 for the first time. It was released in the year 2019.

Similarly, Motorola Edge 6 features a 6.7" display. The Snapdragon 870 chip was released for the first time.

The structural framework of this chip suggests that the Snapdragon 898's CPU is going to utilize a three-cluster architecture.

Key Features

  • The super-large core is laid on a foundation of Cortex-X2 which is a 64-bit only (no 32-bit mode) Armv9-based CPU. It has the potential of a 16 percent enhancement over the X1. So, one may think that "it will further tap the potential and perform better."

  • The large core will come hand-in-hand with the Cortex-A710. It is the successor to the ARM Cortex-A78 and the First-Generation Armv9 “big” Cortex CPU.

  • The small core will be embedded with the Cortex-A510. It is a highly efficient Armv9 CPU. If compared with the Cortex-A55, it is better with respect to the improvement in its performance.
