Robots are a human’s best friend, as they are human creations no matter how much research is undertaken in the development process, robots can still have some shortcomings. Robots get confused by looking at themselves in the mirror or other glass based objects.
Homes contain objects like mirror, glass doors which may leave a robot perplexed. The perplexed state impacts its functionalities. Toyota has developed a training method to ensure its robot doesn’t get confused by observing its mirror reflection. The training method will allow the robot to figure the 3D geometry of the scene.

The method will also help robots in object and surface detection. The new method will also simplify home robot training. Based on the new method researchers can train the robot based on synthetic data.
The cleaning robot has been trained to take a selfie that will help the robot to cheer up senior citizens. Toyota will develop more domestic robots in the future. Domestic robots will help the senior citizens. Cleaning robot can perform the basic cleaning tasks, it can pick a glass of water, clean the surroundings, and now it can even click a selfie to draw a human connection.
