Zomato launches co-branded credit cards with RBL Bank, Mastercard title banner

The noteworthy food delivery app Zomato has taken its first step in establishing itself in the Fintech space by joining hands with RBL Bank and Mastercard to declare the launch of a co-branded credit card. The launch is definitely favourable news for the food-loving customers who will now gain Zomato credits each time they apply these cards for making purchases or paying bills, be it offline or online. 

 

As reported by Times of India, the card is available in 2 versions - Edition Classic Card and Edition Card. 

 

Users of the more premium Edition Card, priced at Rs 3,000 (exclusive of taxes) are granted awards like the global Zomato Gold membership to be renewed for as long as the card remains active alongside lounge access to all major domestic airports as well as awards linked to their spending on fuel, entertainment, shopping which are converted into in-app Zomato credits.

 

Meanwhile, users of the classic edition card, priced at Rs 500 (exclusive of taxes) are awarded benefits that include a complimentary city gold membership along with Zomato credits that are added on every credit card use, be it online or offline which can be reclaimed through restaurants listed on Zomato. 

 

Pradoyot Ghate, the Vice President for Product, Payments and Partnerships, Zomato has expressed the firm’s enthusiasm regarding this launch. He also emphasised that the card has been conceived for the people who are fond of discovering and exploring food traversing the globe. 

 

Meanwhile, Utkarsh Saxena, Head of the RBL’s credit cards has stated that as online food delivery grows in relevance and importance, the bank’s partnership with Zomato will facilitate an ingenious experience for their customers.
