Who here has ever faced that you deserved promotion but you didn’t get it? Who here faces on an average that you should eat after the men in your family? Who here faced at some point of their life that others were given an unfair chance?
Lastly, who here feels that you would have achieved more if you were not just tied up in household work? Who here feels deprived of deserving oppurtunities because they had to give up their studies or jobs, to take care of their families?
Well, it’s the 21st century but still, we face gender discrimination on many levels. That’s why Women's Empowerment is necessary. This article discusses what exactly Women Empowerment is, what it entails is, and offers some examples of it in society,

Women's empowerment can be described in a variety of ways, including respecting women's perspectives or making an effort to seek them out, as well as elevating women's position via education, awareness, literacy, and training.
Women's empowerment empowers and allows women to make life-changing decisions in the face of societal issues. They may be able to reinterpret gender norms or other similar roles, which may provide them greater flexibility to pursue desired goals.

Given this information, it grades nations.
The Gender Empowerment Measure (GEM) seeks to provide a uniform standardized way to measure women's empowerment; nevertheless, it has been criticized for failing to account for diversity in historical causes, female autonomy, gender segregation, and women's voting rights.
You might have come across these things a zillion times but still, in 2022, we are speaking about it. Female foeticide is still common and women are dying even before their birth. It’s true that as compared to the 90s and early 2000s, the rate has reduced.
But the lower doesn’t deny its existence. After she is born, sometimes the own family of the girl discriminates against her over everything. And once, a girl has her first menstrual cycle, then more restrictions in some rural areas. Yes, unfortunately, these things are still prevalent in many areas.
Even talking about the menstrual cycle is considered taboo and people would refrain from talking about it. And there have been so many articles of girls having to drop out of school because they started having their periods. Hence, it proves that there are so many reasons that restrict a girl/woman to receive a proper education.

Women Empowerment doesn’t mean that it has to be education-oriented only. Its simply about women having equal chances and oppurtunies as men. Lieutenant Shivangi Singh India’s first Rafael Pilot became a part of IAF’s Republic Day Tableau. What makes me wonder is that she is the second woman to fly a fighter plane, nearly 34 whole years after Lieutenant Hilal, the first male Rafael Fighter Plane Pilot in the year 1988.
Women's empowerment and autonomy, as well as improvements in their political, social, economic, and health status, are all essential goals in and of themselves. Furthermore, it is required for the attainment of sustainable development. Full involvement and cooperation of both men and women is essential in productive and reproductive life, including shared responsibility for child care and nurturing, as well as home management.
Standing alongside and supporting women is a good place to start. Women are present everywhere, from companies and schools to families and communities.
